Future Plans

The mission of Hotel Management and Culinary Creativity(HC) is to train students who possess both professional knowledge and skills to become future hospitality managers in the global workplace. When they are on campus, HC students are able to familiarize themselves with the real hospitality operations such as hotel management, restaurant management, and service management by using the simulated classrooms and facilities, including language lab and computer lab. When they are interns, HM students are able to demonstrate what they learned on their jobs, to improve themselves by the feedbacks from their supervisors and hotel guests, and to identify their management pros and cons. To prepare HC students for career challenges, it is extremely important for HC to constantly review the effectiveness of its curriculum and faculty's instruction methods.

Thanks to the continuing growth of hospitality-related industries, the demand for hospitality workforce is increasing accordingly. To make future hospitality managers more competitive, HM's future plan is presented as follows:

  • To explore the possibility of working with more world-class hotels in and out of Taiwan to add more partner hotels;
  • To increase students’ ability to acquire professional certificates;
  • To encourage team researches by faculty and students working together;
  • To assist HM graduates to pursue advanced study in and out of Taiwan;
  • To continue cooperation with existing partner hotels and make any necessary adjustment on HM’s curriculum and instruction based on their comments and feedbacks.
