Adamson bridges industry, academe in Semiconductor Knowledge Forum

2025/12/03

Adamson University (AdU) will host the Transformative Link Semiconductor Knowledge Forum, bringing together experts, students, and industry leaders in a two-day program that highlightsthe vital role of semiconductors in shaping the future of technology and strengthening tiesbetween education and industry.

The event will be on September 17 and 18, 2025 in multiple locations inside the AdU campus.Organized in collaboration with Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) of Taiwan to celebrate their 13th year of partnership with AdU, the forum reflects Adamson’scommitment to advancing global linkages while equipping its community with specialized knowledge and international perspectives.

The event will feature a strong lineup of experts, including Dr. Cheng-Hsun-Tony Chang
(Magnetism and Magnetic Materials Spintronics), who is set to lead a discussion focus on
integrated circuit (IC) education and quantum materials, while Dr. Tien-Tzu Sheng (Precise
Fiber Optic Sensors and Nano-semiconductors), will be handling a presentation on enhancing
education quality through industry-academia co-teaching in IC testing.

Dr. Hsin-Chia Yang (Modeling and simulation of FinFETs (Fin Field-Effect Transistor) and
MOSFETs (Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor), meanwhile, will look into
potential advances and processes in semiconductor innovation.

Ms. Ma. Corazon Halili-Dichosa, Industry Development Services, Executive Director of the
Philippine Board of Investments will also deliver insights on industry policies, international
marketing, and negotiations focused on the status of the semiconductor industry in the
Philippines.

The sessions and their corresponding open fora will be moderated by Engr. Antonio
Doroliat, PhD, Dean of the AdU College of Engineering.

Messages will also be delivered by AdU President Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, and MUST
President Dr. Ming-Feng Lu. High-ranking delegates from Taipei Economic and Cultural Office
(TECO) in the Philippines will be present at the event.

Further strengthening the forum is the active participation of AdU industry partners, including
AMS Asia Inc., Analog Devices Inc., Emerson Electric Asia, Erovoutika Electronics Robotics
Automation, Everbright, ICC Test Development Engineering, Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc.,
Infineon Technologies, Jassen Harris Industries Corporation, Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata Inc., P.IMES Corporation, PwC Acceleration Manila, Robert Bosch Inc., Semiconductor and Electronic Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (SEIPI), Southbay Tooling, Texas Instruments, and Tsukiden Electronics Philippines, Inc.

A semiconductor exhibit featuring research outputs, prototypes, innovations and services will
also be on display during the event. An “Embedded System Bootcamp” by the AdU College of
Engineering will add hands-on experience.

Exhibits will also feature Analog Devices, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacturing
of analog, mixed signal, and DSP integrated circuits; Erovoutika Robotics and Automation Solutions, a Filipino robotics and automation solutions company specializing in industrial systems, training platforms, and educational technologies; Packetworx Inc., the country’s pioneer in Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity providing devices and platforms that enable smart applications across industries, Jassen Harris Industries Corporation, a Manilabased tech and electronics distributor that’s all about accessibility and innovation; and Tsukiden Electronics Philippines, Inc., a Japanese-owned electronics manufacturing firm engaged in precision assembly, testing, and product integration for the global semiconductor and electronics supply chain.
