Department Characteristics

    ME department has 21 full-time faculty members (19 PhDs) . We continuously search for experienced and qualified engineers and managers from the Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park and the Industrial Technology Research Institute to participate in the lectures of elective courses. With their industrial experience, the students have opportunities to learn the updated knowledge with practical applications during the lessons.

    There are total twenty-two laboratories that are facilitated with devices for experiments covering various professional training fields. The precision manufacturing technology covers from CAD/CAM/CAE to the precision manufacturing equipment for laser manufacturing/ reverse engineering/ rapid prototyping/ CNC/ vibration and acoustic study/ optical metrology/ experimental stress analysis laboratories, and the mechatronics technology covers equipment from the PLC/ microprocessor/ imaging processing/ robotics/ sensors and measurement/ dynamic testing machines/ mechatronics laboratories. They consist of a completed training facility for the students. 

    In order to stablish teaching and research distinctiveness, MUST ME has aggressively involved in the industry-academia collaboration.
